Courtney Treglia is an artist and writer born and raised in the state of New York. Spending half of her time in Rochester developed her love of nature, and the other half living in Long Island opened her eyes to the elitism of redlined suburbia. Courtney Treglia has always processed her emotions and responses to life through art. Her most vulnerable and diaristic moments are manifested into surreal, fantasy, and sci-fi creatures in brightly colored pieces, while giving the viewer room to connect with the work on their own personal level.
Embracing the experience of process, her work focuses on traditional techniques of printmaking and the written word. Her work is also inspired by music, animation, and current events.

As an educator, creative expression became her activism that the arts are necessary to build a more empathetic world. She uses these values in her work at the School of Visual Arts. In 2024, Courtney received her Masters in Education in Art and Art Education from Teachers College at Columbia University.

After receiving a grant and residency with Teachers College in 2022, Courtney began screen printing and binding her own collection of poems and linoleum-cut illustrations.
Since then, the collection of poems and illustrations titled Lost Objects & Found Memories has been published under Bryson Publishing.
In 2026, Courtney released her first full-length novel, On Red Planets, do Red Birds Sing.

Courtney is currently working on her first full length novel. In her spare time, Courtney likes to make silly little coffee and tea drinks while watching Bravo Tv, Michael Schur comedies, or reruns of Doctor Who. She is usually spending time with her mother, her husband, her cats - Kiki, Luna, and Ash. Her favorite video games are Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Persona 5.
